Cana-Sil is an Optimized silica gel for extractions. This powdered silica gel (silicon dioxide) for use in chromatography batch extractions and decolorizations. Cana-Sil60 can also be used as a general adsorbent for impurities. Optimized particle size, surface area, pH, and purity make it a particularly useful material for the separation of small molecules, peptides, lipids, alkaloids, and a variety of other compounds. Silica Gel is particularly useful to use layered on top of your bentonite to remove plant gums and waxes.
