GroSite, Inc. float switch, for auto top off. This float switch is fully adjustable for several different mounting options. Requires a 5/8 inch mounting hole, it can fit through glass or acrylic up to 1.5 inches in depth. Features a built in 5 amp relay and includes a three prong power cord. With this float switch you can automate your top off, keeping your water at a consistent level. Auto top off systems can help keep your salinity stable, keeping your fish and/or corals from getting stressed out. It also helps keep your pumps from running dry. Simply mount the float switch at a desired water level. Plug in the supplied power cord to the switch. Plug in the power cord to an outlet and plug a pump into the receptacle end. When the water level in your sump drops 1 inch the float switch will switch on a pump. The pump will pump fresh water into your sump. When the desired water level is reached this float switch will shut off the pump.
