All laminating pouches are not the same. Business card size 10 mil heat activated gloss laminating pouches 2-1/4” x 3-3/4” with transparent blue laminate one side and clear laminate other side provide a great way to departmentalize proximity identification cards, badges and passes where the colored border around the card can easily be seen by others. Construction is 10 mil thick film on each flap for major durability, strength, rigidity and protection. ALERT: Many pouch laminators on the market can seal a maximum of only 5 mil pouches, so PLEASE make sure your laminator is capable of sealing 10 mil pouches prior to ordering. (If you don’t have your machine’s manual, a good reference is if your laminator has either a speed control OR a temperature control, it will likely seal 10 mil pouches). Note: Industry standard specification for 10 mil laminating pouches is 10 mil on each flap for a total of 20 mil added to your paper sheet. 1 mil equals 1/1000th of an inch (metric: 25 microns). The industry calls these pouches, yet they are sealed on only one edge instead of three (like a folder, but with 3/32” flat seal for the fold).
