Ice Melt/Pond-deicer Aeration Bubbler Tubing - 200' Long X 1/2" ID NPT Coil

MELT ICE & PREVENT ICE DAMAGE: For over 60 years, ADS Ice Melting Aeration (AKA Bubbler Tubing & Bubbler Piping) has been installed at thousands of ponds, lakes, and marinas to prevent the formation of ice and associated ice damage. This technique is more efficient and effective than "fan-style" mechanical devices that only circulate surface water. HOW IT WORKS: Ice formation can cause structural damage to moored boats, pilings, retaining walls, docks, or entire marinas. In cold climates, bottom lake water continually absorbs heat from the earth below, keeping it well above freezing. ADS ice melting aeration circulates this slightly warmer bottom water to the surface, melting the ice and preventing its formation. The aeration tubing is UV resistant and self-weighted, requiring no additional weight to keep it submerged. A suitable air source located on a dock or at a central location on land provides the necessary air to circulate the warmer bottom water continuously. ADS ice melt bubbler tubing contains air releases located every 24" on center and works best in deeper water where the bottom is relatively flat (+/- 1.5' variation). Significant water depth variation along a single piece of aeration may result in the unequal distribution of air. Dual feeding the ice melt aeration from both ends and providing a minimum of 0.025 SCFM of oil-free air per foot of aeration is recommended. The maximum continuous length of ice melt aeration is 200'. Stringing together multiple rolls of ice melt bubbler piping is not recommended. ADDITIONAL COMPONENTS REQUIRED: *** One or more oil-free piston-style air compressors installed in a weatherproof enclosure. *** Non-perforated feeder tubing that connects the aeration tubing to the compressors. *** Fittings & clamps to secure and prevent the feeder tubing and bubbler tubing from leaking air. • COMPRESSOR AIR FLOW RATE: Requires 0.025 SCFM per foot or 5+ SCFM per 200' coil at up 100 PSI maximum.
• WATER TEMPERATURE RANGE : 32°F to - 20° F. When the air temperature drops below 0°F, increasing the airflow rate will improve mixing and melt more ice.
